i only watched bits and pieces of My Name Is Kim Sam Soon. i know it's a hilarious show, and very very popular cos it's got two hunks.

and one of them is of course, hyun bin. however, i didnt really finish watching MNIKSS. No idea why, it just didnt appeal to me that much. i did laugh my ass off at those few scenes i watched tho xD so i know it is a very entertaining show. and hyun bin is very charming inside the show!

on the other hand, i watched a millionaire's first love! the movie starring hyun bin and lee yeon-hee. his character inside there is rebellious at first but gradually became more mature. it wasnt exactly a grrrreat movie, cos the pace is abit screwed. but it was okay. not that bad. actl i dont think he is the sort of actor you'll think he's gorgeous right at the start. cos the first time i looked at his pic, i didnt think he was good-looking at all. it's only when you see him act, then you'll grow to see his cute, and cool, side.

in his latest drama Queen of Snow, he's acting alongside Sung Yuri.

both are attempting a very different role from what they usually play. hyun bin acted as rich guys in both his drama and movie so in his upcoming drama, he is acting as a poor and cold boxer. whereas Sung Yuri is acting as a rich girl with a serious illness, very different form her usual cute and sweet image. definitely a show to look out for!

let me think why i like him so much.. hmm. i always felt he was really handsome but it was when i heard his voice on tv! oooh his voice is sooo beautiful and sexy! he should be a singer as well. omg, and yeah that started my craze.

although he was famous for autumn in my heart, i actually watched summer scent first. yeah, to many, summerscent was a disappointment compared to autumn in my heart and winter sonata. i think so too. probably because we had overly high expectations? in fact, i was so very much looking forward to the show when i saw the preview. i loOOved the idea of the heartbeat telepathy. So cool!although it's alittle illogical, but hey! it's a drama afterall. moreover, my heart went thumpity-thump whenever the song secret came on. it's suuuch a beautiful show~

i loved the scene in the airport when Hye-won was supposed to go see Jung-jae who was coming back from overseas. then coincidentally Min-woo was also coming back to korea and was at the airport too. i almost thought Hye-won knows Min-woo and is walking to him because jung-jae and min-woo were like side by side but ): she walked past him to jung-jae, and her heart started beating cos she was near HIM. woooh my heart sped up too! with the soundtrack, the feel is amazing. trust me :)

haiya, but the plot got draggy at the middle part.. too much unnecessary tears. of course, i can understand the dilemma they're facing but i get the feeling they're exaggerating the problem to prolong the show. that's bad. but i like the ending! everything they're worried about is resolved in that simple and short scene... when Hye-won's heart started beating when she saw min-woo even though she does not have eun hye's heart anymore. doesnt that explain everything? she really does love him, not only because of eun hye's heart.

ok this is turning into a summerscent review instead.

back to SONG SEUNG HEON.

he's got a great bod too.

oh ya must also mention his performance in autumn in my heart. his portrayal of jun-suh was great! seriously, i was very touched by his acting. esp the scene when he heard from Yumi that eun-suh is suffering from leukemia and lying unconscious in the hospital, he ran to the hospital and went shouting "eun-suh, you can't die! i havent told you i love you! ... i love you!" the pain in his eyes and the tears. i really bawled okay. so touching and soooooo sad. autumn in my heart is really a great drama. although some people dont like it saying it's too sad, i think it totally rawks. it's a beautifully tragic drama. if you havent watched it, you shouldnt even start on korean dramas. but sadly, after its great success, there's an influx of autumn in my heart replicates. suddenly all the melodramas have the two leads separated from young and reunite years later (eg silence, at the dolphin bay, green forest my home, and a hell lot more) COPYCATS :(

so it does get boring now. cliched already. ohwell.

im really glad that he's back from army. i can't wait to see him back in action! and i hear that he's going to star in a new drama with Han Ga-in. hope it's true! Han Ga-in is very pretty too (: and in the drama he plays a cold businessman who changes after his whole family dies in an accident. i think it's a different role for seung heon becos his previous roles were all quite gentle. yay excited! :D

initially when i watched winter sonata, i really disliked his role as Kim Sang-hyuk. he was like the male version of Shin Yumi (Jun-suh's fiancee) in autumn in my heart, clinging desperately onto Yujin and refusing to let go even though she loved Joon-sang. he was alittle overboard and also, too desperate.

but to think of it, he loved Yujin so much! although she loved Joon-sang, he never totally gave up. after Joon-sang left, he was beside her all the time so she would not feel so lonely. ten years! certainly not a short time. he waited for more than 10 years. yet it came to nothing. if i were him, i might want to commit suicide too :p and when he finally convinced himself to give up.. those tears. aww! totally heart-wrenching. so instead of saying i like Park Yong-ha, it makes more sense to say i like Sang-hyuk. his gentleness, his goofy smile, his perseverence and his steadfast love.

i watched loving you, where he's the lead man and very much a prince charming. rich and capable. but i didnt find him as loveable in there even though he's more handsome.

i know Park Yong-ha is actually a singer. i think he only had 3 dramas and a movie? not very sure. but anw, i find that alot of singer-turned-actor/actress actually score quite high for their acting! they're pretty amazing. i never really listened to his songs before, but i hear he's quite popular in Japan as well.

i feel weird saying Chae rim is the cutest korean actress since there are so many up-and-coming young actresses who also look very cute. moreover, chae rim is already married and now divorced, plus she's already 27 this year. that's not very old but abit old for the title "cutest korean actress" she had held. but i strongly believe that those who have lived through the period of chaerim-craze during the All about eve time that chae rim is by far the cutest and sweetest looking actress regardless of age. yes, that smile is just soo, heart-melting sweet.

but actually, im not really a fan of kim tae hee. to me, she's just an eye candy, no offence to fans out there.

come on, i think she got so popular merely because of her highly acclaimed beauty. she was already given the heading kim hee sun once had, "korea's most beautiful actress" after her appearance in stairway to heaven. i watched the drama for choi ji woo :p and of course i also found kim taehee very pretty as the evil han yuri (her dangly pretty earrings were a bonus xD) It was kinda hard to judge her actng in there because all she does is stare. yes, her eyes are huuuge. so when she stares, she does look evil. but i still find her very unnatural in that role. like, unnaturally evil? lol.

i also watched gumiho aka nine-tailed fox. i enjoyed the drama because of the original storyline (a science fiction!) but kth's acting in there wasnt very satisfactory either. she appeared stiff in most scenes and she wasnt very expressive.

as for love story in harvard, i think her acting improved tremendously, compared to her previous works. *applause* many of her scenes impressed me because i thought she couldnt do it but she did. her crying scenes were still abit weak though. didnt really touch me.

and being so very pretty, she's also facing the danger of being considered a vase, like kim hee sun. she was so very popular after she acted in tomato. but now, her popularity is dying. i think the reason why kim hee sun could not maintain her popularity like how choi ji woo can, although choi is older, is because kim hee sun does not have a drama that represents her.

eg. choi ji woo = winter sonata

the first time i saw son ye jin was in summer scent. inthe previews, she looked really sweet and pretty. the director of the 4-seasons drama really rawks at discovering newbies! i mean, son ye jin was only an unknown before summer scent! hence, i watched this drama with grrreat expectations. and i was disappointed. dont get me wrong, i never once felt that the cast was unsuitable or son ye jin was lousy in her role. it's all because of the poorly written storyline. but i wouldnt go into that. son ye jin was such a bright star in the drama. she looked so perfect at every angle! of course, i know it was partly the craft of the director. *applause* but the actress herself HAD to have some credit, no?

sooooo pretty.

okay, i was pretty upset when she acted in April snow. i dunno why. it just didnt suit her sweet, nice, pretty and cute image. but i guess that's precisely what an actress has to do. and son ye-jin chose a path that'll get her further. she gained popularity in japan after april snow because bae yong joon is sooo hot there. she also got out of her usual sweet and demure roles with this breakthrough. i think son ye-jin's a very farsighted actress. even though she knows that she's still young and can still afford to act in nice and sweet roles and be known as an teenage idol, she's still eager to change and mature into a very versatile actress. and through her movies, we can see very different sides of her and she also proved herself to be not just a nice looking vase but an actress who can act well in varying roles.

the drama wasnt particularly popular but it was highly acclaimed.

i guess son ye-jin is still more successful with movies.
